Default Almost had a FIRE....

My kids first day back to school....girlfriend and I decided to get on the bike for the day....came to a stop 30 minutes later and smelled something burning..thought it was the vehicle in front of us...long story short it was my bike...rushed home put the bike on the lift and immediately pulled the 40 amp fuse...bottom of the ignition switch was melted and close to igniting.

Worst part is I can't find a new switch anywhere...am looking for part# 71530-03A....$52.00 part, if anyone knows where I can get one let me know....Thank Guys!

Have your dealer do a search for one closest to you. I think SLC, Ut has one since they had one for my 07 but don't know if they ship. You could call 801-487-4647 ask for Kelly. I lived in Midland 71-81. Gerald

Where did you find it?
I ask because I'll be heading up that way Thursday or Friday.
If it is near me I could bring it up.
