I guess it might be a problem if your only option is a HD dealer. Living near Phoenix allows us huge choices on where too tune. EPA??? No problem, most places you go here will not even mention any EPA standards.
Maybe im wrong but isn't the harley dealer the only guys who have the equipment to tune the sert?

Anyone give any thought to the new 07 TFI from Dobeck?

Yep, your wrong and a big man to admit it too. The SERT can be tuned by anyone with a laptop and the knowledge. Just like PC, dyno makes tuning faster and may get more out of the tune unless a download works good out of the box. The MOCO downloads are probably what you are referring to as being EPA friendly lean and weak. With SERT you get a CD with many MOCO maps that can be modified and downloaded to the ECM. You can also tune a SERT with a WEGO II and get more real street power.

Here you go. Explains the product. Also check out their TCFI IID. It includes ECM, WEGO II, and after initial setup will adjust AFR on the fly. It is not plug and play, need to know what your doing. Must know tuning and follow their instructions on setup. The TCFI and Thundermax with wide band O2s may be the norm in a few years. Will illiminate need to visit the dyno man every time you mod or rebuild.

The EPA regulations have been in effect long before the 07's came on the scene.

Thanks Budz, that is great info, just added that link to my favs. I am doing a Stage 1 upgrade to my 07 Street Glide this winter, and I have picked up a SERT and currently waiting to see what true dual pipes will become available over the winter, and a larger K&N then the standard SE filter. I hate buying things twice, and I plan on going further with the upgrades in the future, so I want to get the "good" stuff the first time around. these may have a place in my plans very soon, again thatnks for the info!

Rhino, Power Commander I, II, III, and IIIr are JUNK. The Power Commander USB is a good tool. The SERT gives the tuner 260 cells per cylinder, which adds up to 520 cells to properly tune front AND rear cylinders. The adjustments made to midrange fuel at cruising speeds under load with a SERT can be much more precise and definded compared to a USB. The USB gives a fuel table with 162 cells for fuel and then blend's front and rear cylinder. This migh not sound like much but it gives the tuner the opportunity to define between midrange fuel and 80-100% 13.5:1 fuel mix for max power. What does all this mean. MORE fuel economy with the SERT! The PC is good. The SERT is better.
