Just put chrome lowers on and it would seem as though the right side lower drain screw is stripped. Do not want to overtighten, but is still leaking. It feels as though I am just at the point where it will. suggestions please on repair.
Was it a set of HD chrome lowers or did you do one of those chroming swap deals? If it was a swap deal, you might want to chase the threads and make sure the area is flat and no nubs, etc. If it is stripped you can tap it to the next size up.
Chrome lowers / drain screw? What are you talking about?

Ah - got it.
Like dawg said check the sealing surfaces (including the washer/seal) for imperfections. And check the threads on the drain screw.
If the sealing surfaces and the threads on the drain plug are ok then keep tightening until the leak stops. If the threads in the lower housing strip before the leak stops then the threads were probably bad to begin and needed repair anyway, so nothing is lost.
