Oh yeah, forgot to mention. 03 CBR600 doesnt want any out to about 500 ft. He spouted off about how slow Harleys were so i offered to race light pole to light pole. Thats 330ft. Standin start i smoked him to 330 and was thinkin i had him to 660 but when he went past it was like i was in neutral! If I can get it to hook up its pretty impressive.
My 02 Ultra is a big heavy bike obviously...(95inch 203 cams and dyno tuned)
My buddy who has 96 Road King with air filter and is stock as far as we know.
We did a side by side roll on in second gear from 25 MPH and walked away from me for two maybe three bike lengths , it didnt take long for me to run him down either.
He was in fourth gear and I was in third gear when I roared past him at 65 MPH or there abouts, hit fourth and left him behind.
Not a great drag race by any means, more of a test the two bikes old teck and new teck and that was about it.
If I wanted a drag bike I would go japaneas and get a zxr11 or a hyabusa something or other, anyways, sounds like you need to fine tuning on a dyno.

Smitty-
What do you mean? The parts are all brand new and in full functioning condition, or are you meaning the parts as a whole group not working together? I went with the Andrews 26 at the recommendation of several riders/builders for my type of riding ( mostly 2 up cruising) maybe it wasn't the right choice, but I can say the SE 206's aren't either as they were in the bike and it was worse than it is now in the upper RPM's
Just has me stumped
You just said it here. You did what you did for 2 up cruising and those are the recommendations that you got. Go tell the same people that you want drag racing power and I am sure they will give you a different cam to run. I agree with most. bump the compression some and that should wake it up.
Sputter,
Go back and read #25; follow the advice and work your way out. You should be staying with or pulling those guys with your build. With 3.37 gearing, you should be out in front from the jump; something ain't right.
I suggested headwork and if you go that route, the 26, though a nice cam, won't be enough cam to take full advantage of the upgraded heads.
Start with compression and leak down testing and verifying primary and secondary gearing; let's go from there.
I wouldn't ditch the Fullsac system just yet; let's get the basic stuff sorted out first.
I will try to get the compression and leak down test done in the next day or two. I'm pretty certain it will come back within tolerance as we just had the heads off in the spring to do the gaskets, and the cylinders looked great as well as the valves had no leakage, etc. I will start there and see what the numbers show. I will post them up once I have them maybe from there we can start to narrow it down.
thanks for all the replies I appreciate it!!!
