Welcome! I to had Drop Foot during the summer, it was from a stupid mistake that I made. Make sure you wear a brace that keeps your foot at a 90 degree for at least 4-6 weeks, makes a hug difference. I now have the use of my right foot but there is still some numbness across my foot and up the right side of my leg. Hang in there!!!!

Well sorry I have not responded in awhile. Well the prognosis is my peroneal nerve is dying, so the only option I have now is go back in 3 weeks and see if the tens unit along with the AFO (brace that keeps my feet 90 and picks my toes up when I walk) makes a difference. If it does not then they are going to to a walking aide on my shin and what that does is fires my nerves for me so I can walk and go back to work. They say the nerve may rebuild itself and could take up to 3 years. They say I am going to have to learn how to drive my car left footed, but feel I will be able to ride the bike being its my right foot. They feel that the brace will be able to allow me to balance the bike. Bad news is, I am not sure how well I will be able to apply the rear brake..meaning emergency situations. I really do not apply my rear brake all that much when coming to a stop anyhow, its pretty much down shifting, applying front brake and a little on the rear brake, which I feel I will be able to do. Anyone konw of someone with this type of condition and if so is it something that is impossible or difficult? I am going to post a thread on the main forum too, because the more responses I get the better. This is something that I really do not want to lose. I am 37, love riding, is theraputic and....well you all know what I mean!!!
