The Terry Components Terminal Volocity II does the same thing and it is
much cheaper.

Web site is www.terrycomp.com for more info.

The Terry unit is NOT plug & play, utilizes only one sensor, and recommends a SERT be used as well in some applications.

I have not used one myself, but everyone on the HD forums that has them says
once you hook them up they never have to look at it again no matter if they
change pipes or air cleaners, guys say even with Stage one engines they never
had to change or buy anything on the TV II...

Hey I guess everyone who has one could be full of it, after all this is the Net"

My question is how well does an Alpha-N type ECM compensate for altitude changes. As I understand it, with Alpha-N type systems such as Thundermax or the DTT TCFI estimate ambient air pressure based on temperature. It doesn't seem like that computation would hold as altitude changes. I could be wrong here though.

With the wide band O2s I would think that when reaching altitude they would adjust the AFR to the map by shortening the pulse width. The O2s are continually monitoring AFR and adjusting.

Unless you are always changing items this setup is overkill, also being the harley ecm controlls alot more than the motor, security system for one that would be a conceren. If you do your mods add a PCIII or other device have it tuned, done deal. Even if you changed later a retune at the dyno several times would still be way less than this setup.

Actually the TSSM is what controls the security system.

Both the ThunderMax and DTT fully support the HD security system.

How many performance mods can you made to a bike?

Intake, A/C, pipes - Dyno

If I had engine work done I think I'd feel more confident with a dyno tune then an automated device.

Oh well, to each their own. I think the wide band sensor thing is a great idea but for the majority of applications I think it's overkill.

I agree, my choice would be to eliminate the sensors and go with a dyno tuned PCIII!

I'm also looking into this product and unless something or someone changes my mind I plan to have it installed in March. Will keep you posted if I do. Currently bike is bone stock.

I believe that the WFB RoadGlide bike that won that biker build off had a similiar product that's made by S&S.

Zipper's Performance new Thundermax and Auto-Tune is as good as it gets, and it's one product that you'll want later if not right now; and you can't beat the quality of their products or the Zipper's team to deal with as a customer. I'm waiting for them to finish their 120c.i. kit for 2007 96c.i. engines, to have it, the Thundermax/auto-tune and 54mm throttle body installed by their approved dealer in Daytona for my Ultra. While the new Thundermax with auto-tune is available now, the 120 kits probably won't be ready until March or April. At any rate, you'll be one happy rider if you go with their Thundermax & Auto-tune system...along with the new Rinehearts with O2 ports, of course.

Get the grin happening and ride,
