Default Dragonfly Fairing meets 14" Carlini Gangster Apes

It was a pain getting all the wires through the bar. I am not crazy about the width of these bars at the base. however they put my hand position where I wanted. These bars also allowed me to push the fairing back a little more giving it a more stock positioning on the bike. The best part about these bars is the look great with or without the fairing. Here are a couple pics, the last pic are the HD 13" Apes I had on there b4.

Thanks the Apes are going to have to grow on me, They seem wider than I wanted. I would have the 1.5" version of these bars in a heartbeat except they are 41" wide, and thats more than what I have now. IDK I have 30 days to decide. If there is anyone considering buying Carlini 14"x1.25z' with the 1" stepdown these bars are wider and more square than the regular 1.25" thru bars.

You'll get used to them. I have 1.5" Flyin' apes and they are really wide. Took a bit to get used to them after I switched from Wild 1 apes. But They are like an old friend now. I am adding the grip ace http://www.gripace.com/Harleys.htm and and internal throttle shortly so I will be able to shave a few inches off each side of my bars at the same time. Been running the Carlini's for about 2 years.

The only thing that I dislike about your fairings is that you cannot see the killer bend in the bars. Maybe it is just the way the pics were taken, but that is the best thing about Carlini's. They really are beautiful bars.

Yea its just the pics the bars follow the angle of the fairing nicely. Are you talking about cutting the ends of the bars to make them narrower. Or were u saying the switch kit is narrower than the HD grips. Would be interested to know how you plan to trim off a few inches. Could be my answer to getting the 1.5" bars.

I just got the 1.5" Gangsters on my Road King.. After install, I was like "Oh Sh*t! Those are way wide. "

I've been nervous ever since seeing them on that I won't like them that wide.. I guess I will try them for awhile.. This looks like a cool option, although I really like to have labeled buttons to push rather than little rivets in the grips.. Although I imagine, you get used to that as well.

Is there any other option to shave some inches off of these bars?

To the OP, How does the width feel?

How do you like your carlini's compared to your wild ones?
