Default removing voltage regulator nightmare

I bought the glide pro kit after the recommendations by hoblick and other folks on this forum. I went to install it the other day and you have to remove the voltage regulator in order to install the new front motor mount that comes with the kit. I had a chrome cover over the voltage regulator. I went to remove the chrome bolts that bolt to the chrome extension threaded rods that connect to the studs for the voltage regulator. One bolt was seized. I tried everything I could think of to get it out with no such luck. I ended up just ripping the chrome cover off the bolt. I then go to remove the chrome extension deals and it broke right off the bolt. Im now furios with smoke rolling from my ears. I then pounded the pressed in stud out and went to harley to see if I could get a replacement.
They don't offer a replacement unless I wanted to get a new frame. The parts guy did give me a free can of spray paint to paint my now scratched up voltage regulator. (was a way nice gesture, as they new I was frustrated) So the next day I installed the glide pro kit, and put the bike back together. I got a short ride in and the bike feels nice and tight. I will give another review after I break the kit in some. Sorry for the long rant.

I'd like to hear how you like the Glide Pro. I can't find a decent replacement for the old stock motor mount.

As for the chrome cover, if it makes it any easier, the regulator likes it better without the cover. It hangs out there in the wind to blow off heat caused by excess voltage.

Yes, the regulator will be much happier now. Im done with covers for it. As for the kit, so far I like how much tighter the bike feels. I don't have a lot of miles with it on, so I'll start a new thread after I get a good ride in. the install instructions say 300-500 miles for break in. I'll do a review shortly
