Here is a side view of the mounts... I'm not the smartest guy but they're on exactly per the instructions and there doesn't seem to be anyplace else for them to go... Again, they need to be about 1/2" higher in order for the laydown bracket to clear the tour pak rack. Also included are a few pics of the chrome kit for the engine for Pilot...

Here is a better pic of how much more clearance I need. The tour pak rack is resting on the layback license plate holder and I'm still lacking about a 1/2" to get them to lock down.

How much clearance do you guys have with the layback plate and a DETACHABLE tourpak rack?

Your mounts look right. I can't understand why your plate bracket is not fitting. Maybe the bend is not enough. If you can, take the bracket back to the dealer and check it against another.

The one on mine is very close, but it fits with just a little clearance.

Regards,

Bill

After all this typing and thinking about.... I just put a little body weight on the layback plate and everything fits great... Someone earlier in the thread suggested it but I was looking to make sure something wasn't wrong... Thanks for all the help.
