Default Cold Start

I was wondering peoples thoughts on my cold starts. What's is happening is when I start the bike for the first time of any day it takes like 4 or 5 cranks of the starter to get the bike running. After it is warmed up, it fires right up. I have the new 4" mufflers installed and when it it cranking it sounds hollow in the pipes and began thinking maybe it just doesn't have enough back pressure. Could it be the cams?

are you waiting for the engine light to go out before you hit the start button?

Did this always happen ? .....the thing is they are changing the gas to the winter blend now. Also try some new plugs.

I always wait for the engine light to go out. I'm running Shell 93 octane. The bike did not do this before I did the upgrades 1 week ago. I'm only on my second tank of gas. With the new pipes it sounds like it is starting inside a 55 gallon drum. I'm starting to wonder if there is some setting in the tuner to make it fire faster. Man, this could be a problem when this new battery isn't so new anymore.

Don't know if this is it or not, but your 2012 has automatic compression releases. My 2012 RGC does not fire "right off" like my 2010 did.
