Is it possible that the exact same exhaust setup on a 2011 103 Street Glide, could sound different on a 2011 103 Ultra? Seems like they should sound exactly the same. Same motor. I heard a Street Glide the other day, with what I think were those Hi Output Vance & Hines slip-ons. They sounded great. Listened to a bunch of them (with headphones) on YouTube, and the Street Glides actually sounded different than the Ultras. I have V&H Power duals on mine, with Rush Big Louie, but these Hi Outputs sounded great --- deep & gutsy, but kinda loud. I hope people could still ride behind me with those things on!
The sound would be the same on either bike.
The sound will be different depending on the headers people have on though
(True Duels, Power Duels, stock header with the cat, stock header with the cat cut out, etc, etc)
the sound would be different....the ultra has a taller windsheild and results in a different sound due to reflections...and since the SG is lower in the back...the pipe angle to the ground is different resulting in a differnet sound

Power duals are actually quieter than dresser duals.
Are both bikes running the same head pipes?
PS. Power duals are a complete waste of money and one of my freinds had the "x" pipe crack. Stick with true duals or dresser duals.
I would think theoretically yes, however, the conditions would have to be exactly the same. Yes, they are the exact same motor, but are they the exact same setup? Cams, pipes, breathers, tunes, etc.? Also, were they all tested in the exact same environment? Think acoustics ...... a stereo might sound great in the sound room at the store and sound like crap in your garage. As with any testing, unless they are tested in the exact same environment, there will be differences, sometimes subtle, sometimes extreme. Just my thoughts of course.
