Hello , New to forum . Just wonted to see if any one has lowered the 2010 and up Street Glide 1" . I wont the 1" lower shocks to go with these short legs , but I wont a better ride than stock . tall order. The problem I have is that the burly 10.5 is a hard ride and progressive only makes the 11.5 shocks in 412 , 430 , 440 , ect. and I wont the 11" . The 940's wont give me the drop to 11" as well. I was looking at the Dayna 11" SD and HD shocks , but progressive tells me the spring rate is to stiff for the Street Glide. I would tend to believe they would not be, as the dayna is a much lighter bike, But what do I know. any sugestions. Thanks, David
Being a short guy myself you may want to try taking a look at Bitchen Bagger shocks. They are your same Harley air shocks that have been cut down. You get the same functionality but less travel. They will sell you air shocks down to 10.5". I am running 10.75" on my 08 SG and the ride is fine. Could it be better???? Sure, but for the price it's not bad. http://bitchinbaggers.com/products/drop-shocks/
They'll ask you a bunch of questions, weight, riding style, single or two up and then they'll alter the shocks accordingly. Check them out.
I'm only 5'7" so I feel your pain! I went with the Arnott air ride on my 10 flhx and I love it! It is low when I need it and I can have full travel when needed! They sell 2 different systems and I went with the cheapest of the 2.
I have checked out bolth sets of shocks. air ride is pricey. I am going to call bitchin baggers and talk to them , but I still would like to check out the dayna 11" 412 (hd) & (sd) sence I ride 2 up 70% of the time . My opinion is that non air , 5 or 6 stage valve, preload ajustable shocks , give the best overall ride. Thanks. David
i checked into lower kits bitch'm baggers and ended up sending my stock seat to MeanCity Cycle to have it lowerd and narrowed so i could flat foot it with my 2008FLHRC . I also had memory foam added for comfort . when i got the seat back it looked great was 2.5" lowwer and a cpl inchs narrower . buy far way cheaper than new shocks only $144 including shipping both ways .

I can tell you that the 412 HD's ride like crap on a Dyna.
Have you tried a lower seat and boots with a bigger heel, like Logger boots? Those two things combined can get you 2-3 inches closer to the ground and ride quality won't be compromised.
