Default How would you spend it? Engine work /or wheels and apes?

I have $4,000 to invest in my bike. Would most of you spend it on Engine work (FM 107) for performance along with head pipe and pipes? Or go for looks and put new wheels and tires on, along with apes? I don't wanna loose my reliability as far as the stock 96" on my 2011 FLTRX but i'd love more power. I've done the Arlen Ness big sucker, PC-V, and SE slip ons, but still have the cat. and didn't gain much! I'm up in the air really on which i'd enjoy more. Thanks for the feedback!

You could do a stage 1, apes and wheels and tires for 4k. Depends on who does the work, what parts you chose and where you buy them from.

Fuel Moto 107, Jackpot coated headpipe, Ohlins #3-4 shocks. That should keep you just under $4000, and you'll have a bike that's a helluvalot more fun.

I would do apes and engine. Wheels are just for looks. The way the bike feels and weather you are excited to ride it is what counts. Apes are extremely comfortable and look good, and i really enjoyed my ride more after i installed a cam and stage 1 with Jackpots. If you do the work yourself with the help of a buddy, you can do everything for under 4k.

Some of the things you have done should increase your power for better average riding. Sounds like you probably want the power more, and the Fuel Moto 107" kit will do it beyond a doubt !

Local dealer here quoted me bout $2700 out the door for 103" stg 4(big bore, heads, cams). think it was $1700 for the 103" stg 3 (no heads). that leaves ya money for some apes or any other mods..... just my idea!

I do the apes and wheels. My bike has plenty of power as is but that's just my preference. Do what you wanna do.

I went for the engine route myself, I installed 255 cams, PCV, auto tune, etc... I wanted the power enhancement. I like a good looking. Ike, but I like a good performing bike better. I do like the apes idea though.
