I have my SG torn apart to have some parts powder coated, I also have the fairing off.
Is it a good time to take the front end apart to chrome or powder coat?
Or should I wait to JAN - FEB?
Is this something I can do myself? If so, is there any HOW TO's any where?

 

pulling the lowers and the "cow bells" is pretty straight forward if you have the manual. I changed to the chrome front end kit in about 2 hours. Any Q's you can pm me. But yes while you are that far why not?

 

I would say its a great time to complete the rest of your wish list.

Good time to drop some monotubes in the front end.

I have them in my Road King and it is a great upgrade.
