My motor is much quiter with the windshield off. Noise bounces right off of it.

As Train posted, the pinging sound is exactly like gravel hitting the inside of your front fender. Train couldn't have said it better.

For the guys not running SERT/TTS, is it possible to tap the ECM or harness with a dummy light that would verify pinging as detected by the OEM systems, seems like that would be a beneficial item.
