Default Mounting Heated Gear Controller

I just bought a pair of heated gloves and a dual controller (in anticipation of getting the jacket liner later). Installation in the bike was a breeze. I have a HD 360* Textile jacket now. Run the Y cord down the sleeves and put the plug from it on my left side. Plug the controller into that and the power plug from the bike and instant heat!

But I have all this wiring and the controller hanging out from under the left side of my jacket. The controller has a case and clip on it so I can secure that to my pocket or chaps or...

Just wondering how others secure the wiring inside their jacket to keep it from hanging out when they don't have the heated liner. Also, where do you clip the controller to to keep it secure while still having access to the controls?

I attach it upside down on my jacket bottom (in front). That way I can adjust it while I am riding.

I tried all types of things and what I found works best is to velcro it to the console right below the ignition switch. Works well and I'm able to see and reach it easily.

I bought the pouch for like 10 bucks and it has a spring steel belt style clip. Mine attaches to the nose on my seat so it is very easily accessible.

Once you get the jacket liner, the problem with heated gloves wires will go away.

I always wear my vest on top of my jacket (in winter) I clip the dual controller on my left side vest pocket. Works great. And you will LOVE the heated gear!

When I priced the HD and Gerbing controllers last week, they were both the same price ($199) but the HD came with a pouch with clip and the Gerbing didn't. The clip on the back of mine is similar to what you see on a money clip - a metal spring tab. I'm wondering if that's what you have on yours and, if so, how do you attach it to the seat? BTW I have a 2010 UC.

Thanks for responding.

Do you unplug from the lead from the bike (take the controller with you) or do you leave the controller on the bike when you dismount, unplugging that from your jacket?

I have one of those leather pouches/drink holders that snaps onto the saddlebag guard. I have it on the left side and I place my controller clipped onto that drink pocket on the inside (not really needing the drink holder in the cold). The cable from my jacket liner is on the left side and is easy to plug into my controller. It is easy to reach and adjust while riding that way.

I nearly froze my fingers a few times last year, and every fall before that. It started getting a bit chilly here a few weeks ago so I bought the gloves and then the controller (everyone on these forums said a controller was a "must"). Since then we've had summer again!!! Beautiful weather here lately! After spending about 5 bills already, I have to let that cool before convincing SWMBO I need the liner as well But if buying another piece extends the summer weather like the gloves did, it might well be just the argument I need
