Probably the wrong place to post this but here goes. What is the difference between a steel baffle and a woven baffle? Which one is the louder of the two?
one is like a perforated steel cylinder, placed inside the muffler.
you would guess the perforation pattern calculated to 'do something"
a woven would be similar perforated steel baffle with matting wrapped around it.
the woven material would be more likely to result in a deeper tone as the matting might absorb high frequencies.
"louder"--- too many other variables.
"loud" does not often equate to fast.
notice that he goofy kit down the block with the Honda with the ground effects kit and the "performance" muffler seems to have a hard time leaving the stop sign.
all the way open pipes can seriously reduce power at low rpms--- and make great power at 6000~8000 rpm. thing is, we don't much ride at 6000 rpm
