I have a FuelPak. They have canned maps that work with many different accessories. I understand the PCV does too, but is more tweakable, like if you want to dyno your bike it can be fine tuned. V&H is very secretive about what their values adjust.

Sorry, missed part of your thread. I also have a K&N filter. Like it lots. Wash clean, re-oil and good as new. Lets the engine breathe better. BTW, a FuelPak or PCV will richen the fuel to air mixture, causing your engine to run MUCH cooler.

K. If you plan to do any more mods than intake and exhaust like cams or bigger jugs a tuner is what you need. If you only plan on breather and pipes the fuel pak will meet your needs. I got the map from v&h for my fuel pak and I have tweaked a few numbers and my bike runs like a scalded ape and no popping. Alot of guys are getting popping on decel and so was I but I think I got most of the modes figured out so I upped a few numbers and no popping at all.

Fuel Pak works OK for some. The big problem with it is V & H is very secretive about the mode values as well as the modes are not as complete a tune as the available cells in the PC set up.

I ran a Fuel Pak on my softail years ago and it ran well, about a year into it I changed to a PC with a canned MAP from Fuel Moto and the bike ran a lot stronger and better gas milage. So the Fuel Pak was better n=than the HD download but IMO not as good as the PC.

On my current bike I ran a PCV for a mointh and then changed to the power Vision because I wanted to be able to run the O2 sensors and not have a piggy back unit on the bike

Bottom line for a little extra $ with the PC you will have the availability to max the tune, be able to dyno tune the bike if the available canned MAPS dont work out for you and if you make any changes in the future (cams, etc) the unit will meet your needs
