The oils are good but kinda on the thin side,i havent tried it in my bike yet but in use it in my work trucks.had a oil line break lost oil pressure thought the motor was junk, the oil was very sticky heavy with the lucas i belive that saved the enigne
That doesn't sound too good for cold engine start ups to me.
Last summer (2010) I used 1/2 - 3/4 quart in one of my oil changes....
seemed to make my motor more noisy.
Never added it again..... of course your results could be different.

Why dont multi million pound oil companies use the active ingrediants in their products?
If it makes you happy use it, but some very clever people who get paid big bucks are used by oil companies to formulate a product that at the high end tries to out do competitors, wouldnt they put it in their formula.
I favour the idea of buying the best oil based on analysis, and not adding stuff that people smarter than I didnt put in it in the first place.
Lucas lowers operating temps, reduces friction, gives the impression of thick, but really just grabs on to metal and stays put. Eliminates dry starts. I use it in everything I own, engine, trans, rear ends, power steering, gas tank, and diesel tank. From what I have heard, a ex Shell oil Engineer invented it. Shell thought they would lose to much $ from how well it works. Use it or not, I have never had a problem with any of their products.
I use it, and have had a motor apart after, it coats everything, with a slick film, I use it because I have the old spring tensioners, and it seems to be helping in that area for sure.
I just use it in the engine.
Use it, or don't no skin off my nose.
