I was talking to a fellow who had the hidden axle front end. He stated that he had noticed flexing as compared to the stock exposed axle. I assumed he was talking about cornering, but I'm not sure. He stated that he would not do it again on his next bike. Opinions????

I have zero flex in my front end. And that's with a single sided brake which naturally exerts a twist on the front end when braking. Right after I put my front end together I tested mine several times, slamming the front brake to the point of lock-up, no twist, no flex. The AS tubes & axle are kinda over engineered and the axle ends are huge and fit perfectly, I can't see how anything would flex. Now, mine is lowered 2" so maybe that is helping?
FWIW, I built a hardtail chopper with a slight rake and +2 tubes a few years ago, I liked the looks of it better without the front fender and, as a result of no bracing, the front end flexed quite a bit.
i still cant figure out how to take the axle out of my smooth chrome lowers..they look just like yours. Is that a cover on the left leg? do you pry it out to get to the axle bolt??

Best way to get the cover off is to hot glue something to it and pull it out, can't really get anything in there to pry it off without pucking up the chrome.
texas sg, thats what i thought but they sell em for 600 and fatbaggers.com has them for 450, if american suspension makes them how are fatbaggers sellin them cheaper?
