Default Installing vented lowers on '08 R/G

Looks like I have 2 choices :
Hells Foundry 'invisible fairing supports' or use the 2010 support brackets.

Anybody use one or the other ?? Any pros or con either way ??
Any additional parts and pieces needed with either ??

Thanks

Terry

Hells Foundry support brackets will be here next week. I spoke to Derek at HF several times about this and all you need to do is swap these out and put the vented lowers on which, coincidentally I bought yesterday...The support bracket is not currently available in chrome but Derek told me if I did not like the black one after install, he would gladly swap it out for chrome when it is available in a few months(CHROMER ISSUES)

Thanks Big Daddy....... After an incident in Lake Placid, NY 3 weeks ago, I'm replacing quite a bit of plastic on my bike.
I'll be changing from non-vented lowers to the vented version and need the
"conversion kit" to adapt to my '08.
I'm also replacing my SE HD breather... as my right knee and boot did some damage as I quickly exited my bike.

I'll look into the HF brackets.... couple phone calls should answer my questions......

Thanks again BD

I just changed my fairing brackets to the 2010 style and installed the vented lowers. There's more wind blowing on my knees now compared to the old lowers.

You have to take the fairing right off to change them. it should take 2-3 hours.

If you buy the Hells Foundry bracket it is a twenty minute job and you don't have to change anything or remove the fairing

Even though both my inner and outer fairings will be off,
I'm going with the HF brackets.....Seems simplified.

Thanks for the heads-up BD..... greatly appreciated.

You still need to change to the 2010 main fairing bracket, 58530-10.
