Comes with a lifetime guarantee .
Took the 881L bulbs out of my running light, and out 894L clear tip.
Got the bulbs from Auto Zone.
Cardboard why did you choose H9 over H4? I have a 2012 RG.

HID's in a halogen reflector are not only illegal, they blind all oncoming drivers.

I'm sure everyone will tell you that its fine, but its really not. You absolutely need a projector lens to run HIDs properly, ideally one that was designed for HIDs (some halogen projectors do just fine with HIDs, some do not).

Do this search in the CAR world, and you will find expert after expert after expert saying the exact same thing: Illegal and bad for oncoming drivers.

Parabellum, You have a valid point that I will seriously consider. Are their other reflector options out there? I hate nothing worse than to be blinded by oncoming traffic.

one of the bulbs in the SE headlight was a H9 its a brighter bulb HD kit #67700032
Neither bulb was a H4
I really like the SE two bulb kit. It comes with everything new backin plate. new dual bulb headlight reflector. Plug so you can go from one bulb to a two bulb.
And with the Xenon it draws less voltage.
Now that I have 2 H9 6000K 35w bulbs withe the SE reflector. I got a heck lot more light .
If I had it to do over again. I would do it the same.
I'm 61 and don't see as well at night time.
xenonbargains rocks.
Their ballast are smaller too.
Plug and play kit.
Both Hd and Xenon bargains.

It is my understanding that the HID modification is not DOT approved. Regardless, I have installed HID on all my bikes and I really like the increased light. You might have to re-adjust the headlight (up-down) so that it does not blind other drivers.

Well worth the $40 investment...

By the way, I now see Headlight Projectors which try to mimic real HID headlight enclosures. Does anyone have any experience with them?

I did a bunch of research on this and the Hella E-code reflectors are a drop in replacement for ours, but seem to have a MUCH better reflection pattern and light dispersal pattern onto the road.

Running an e-code reflector with a standard 55/60 bulb is the best upgrade that is legal and doesn't blind others that I could find.

This is the kit for the 5 3/4 lights (sportster):

Kit for the touring models with 7" lights:

Do you know anything at all about cameras? What kind of picture would you expect, taken at night, that would show you the actual field of view.
