Can't find the specifications in my manual on this one. What is the size (thread count/diameter) of the bolt that holds the seat down on my 06 EG?
I went through a bunch of bolts in my bins that I had left over from my previous Harley projects and nothing would fit.
that'd be a bolt with a 7/16" head national coarse ( NC) thread 20 TPI ( although most use a phillips head machine screw, I find a bolt with a hex head easier to get in/out with tour pak in place
BTW, went to Ace hardware and paid $3.00 for a bolt with a black plastic thumb piece (wheel). Makes tightening and losening easier at a fraction of H-D prices. I lost my $19.95 custom chrome screw and decided that only I know it's there since it is covered by a Tour Pak. $3.00 option it was!
Jeez, I can't imagine why anyone would want to spend $3.00 for hardware, when they can spend $19 for one that might come in H-D packaging - won't that void your warranty (:
