Made the swap a few months ago my self with no regrets. The fatboy is a great bike and if I had the funds I would have both.

I loved my 2010 SG, got a back rest, Sundowner and passenger floor boards with a drop for wife and did 10k on it in 11 months until a 19 year old pulled out in front of me in May. When I'm recovered I'm getting another SG. The 2012 have some improvements in the frame around the neck as well as a 103 standard. I would get anti-locks brakes and cruise control with out a doubt (the rear end loves to come around if you are not careful under hard braking).

I've only rode my 2012 SG for 14 miles and its superior to my Deluxe in comfort and smoothness. It is far better for 2-up also...

sg 12 inch shocks not good for 2 up ultra 13 inch shocks better for 2 up,ultra tourpack included,sg tourpackover a grand.ultra comfy seat for 2 up sg 400 for a comfy seat. not to mention lowers intercom 4 speakers. sg looks better but for 2 up ultra is almost the same price.

I love my glide. But I'm thinking as long as ur wife is in the trade up mood....plop her into an ultra. I doubt you'll get her to go glide.

thanks for the replies,i am attached to my fatboy,put some good money in it but dont have the storage and do get beat up by the wind on long hauls,i just hope i can make the sg sound and look as good as the fb,i am going saturday to take one for a ride and see what she's about
