Default transmission leak

Have developed a small leak were the transmission an moor bolt together just behind the rear jug. Its an 05 RK with about 30,000 miles. just wondering if this is a common problem

Check the exhaust pipe bracket bolts. They are also the bottom bolts for the transmission right side.

Check what MareRider said. That was the exact source of my transmission leak a month or so back. Tough to see, even a little tougher to get to.
The bottom two bolts had come loose. A very small socket wrench with a small hex bit and two minutes later the leak was fixed.

Could be your trans shaft seal (PITA to replace). Overfilling your your trans fluid can also cause what appears to be a leak.

2 of the bolts are in the exhaust bracket that's below the clutch relase cover. Arrow points to the area.

Are you running synthetic? I tried synthetic for an experiment and I now have moisture at the same area you are talking about.

You might be better off showing your local harley mechanic what you are talking about. Your cylinder to case seal is an oring not likely to just start leaking. Is there moisture around the bottom of your rear cylinder or moisture at the seam where the back of the engine case meets the front of the trans case? Either way I still agree to keep riding.
