Okay, got a quote from the dealership on a Stage II with 255 Cam and Dyno. Seems a little high to me, so I thought I'd see what others are getting. My quote was in the neighborhood of $2700. Seems to me it was quite a bit cheaper last time around.
My dealer tried bending me over as well. They wanted 799 for the SE 103 Stage II Pro kit, were going to make me buy another cam (wouldn't just take the 255 and keep it in their inventory), wouldn't touch my PCV so they were trying to sell a SEPST, and were quoted me 12-14 hours labor (at over $70 an hour). I laughed in their face and called Fuel Moto. My dealer will never see the inside of my engine.

Probably a smart move on your part!
My dealer- 96 to 103, custom ground cams, head work, SERT, SE backing plate with zippers filter, TDs rinehart or jackpots, and however much dyno time it takes to get it right. My buddies bike made 114hp 121tq. Quiet and dependable. $3100
sounds crazy. 2700 sounds like trade in money towards a bike that is already a 103.
I bought a new stage II kit on ebay for $525. Going to put it in myself when the weather turns cold. Special harley tools needed so far are about 125. Beware on stage II upgrades that some part numbers do not include the cam bearings. depending on your mileage, you may want the bearings replaced. Also, there are some measurements that need to take place according to the directions....make sure they tell you what those were (ring end gap, valve to piston clearance, and if you are suing forged pistons....piston side clearance). Since the heads will be off anyway, you might want to spend the 125 for manual compression release.
My local dealer did the 103 stage II kit installed on my Ultra for $1999. That included the factory download. I've heard of guys getting better deals than that but I'm happy with it. $2700 is way too much.
