Ok so I'm on a 2012 Ultra and I don't want to go down the road I did with my StreetGlide. I'm looking to keep this bike mostly stock minus some creature comfort stuff for distance rides...Anyway looking to get the iPod interface(#76476-10)and the RoadTech Navigation interface module(#76000024A) The idea is to keep the iPod in the saddlebag and be able to switch to it when ever I need to and having the Zumo 660 in the fairing mount with the interface to lower the music so I will hear directions when I need to. I take 4-5 trips a year when I think the GPS would be a must have and maybe about a dozen times a year when it would be very handy...So long story short...Is anyone currenty running either of these products and what do you think of them? And can I run them both?
I'm a big ipod touch user- use the display for maps directions all that, interneting at mcdonalds and starbucks when touring- and of course to listen to music or podcasts.
I was going to order the interface, but had a chance to test ride the CVO when the demo fleet came through town.
I put my ipod in the saddlebag and realized that to move through the ipod's menus on the stereo, I would have to have my eyes off the road- alot.
and i couldn't use it for maps and directions.
so I use a $15 cable with a switch in the middle for pause/play, next track, return to track
and I have my ipod in a clear front holster hanging from my windscreen bag
