I got rear-ended last night with very minor damage -- just bent the saddlebag cage bars on my FLHTC a little bit, but it looks like that was the extent of it. Continued riding it home last night, went for a long ride today with no problems. But then as I was pulling into the driveway at home just now I noticed my check engine light was on, and I pulled the P0572 error code.
Do you guys think this could be somehow related to the accident last night? I was at a full stop with the front brake engaged when I got whacked, and it shoved me forward hard enough that I almost dropped the bike. I'm wondering if this is coincidental or if the fact that I was already on the brakes when I got hit caused some kind of a problem in the brake system.
contact your dealer. 2009 FLHTP in for 20K check-up. dealer called saying my brake light was not working, but, HD had a recall bulletin out for bad brake switches. don't know how many years are involved in the recall, but it is worth the call.
Theres an app out there for smart phones. I think its called "vtwin" or something like that. It does a bunch of things but it can also let you access the trouble codes for harleys. Might want to look into that for a quick refference.
