Default Gear drive cam?

'02 road king, supposed to be SE stage 2, it has the air cleaner and exhaust, not sure on the cams. Today I had the exhaust off because of a leak, and pulled the cam cover just to see. Tensioners were replaced about 20k ago so they needed a look see. Outside was like new, inside is 50% from what I can see. A few pieces of yellow plastic laying around so it's time for a redo or change to roller chain or gear drive. Roller chain kit comes with new oil pump which is probabley a good idea anyway. How do I figure out what cams are in it? Are they numbered? Which ones should I expect with SE stage 2? If they are stock cams I'm thinking a gear drive setup might be the way to go, S&S 510's or Andrews 26's, How would they compare to say SE 203's? Anyone know the best place to look for roller chain or gear drives? I'm a cheap SOB........and do my own work.

Andrews 26g's are pretty much just like the SE204 cam. With an 02 I would not hesitate to lean toward gear cams as the crank would probably be in spec being forged and having the Timken bearing.

Yep, I am on board with this recommendation as well.

Ok, I got the cams out, inner cam bearing surface on front cam is toast, worn through the hard surface. I put the dial indicator on the crank and it looks to be about .003 runout. Kinda hard to tell as the needle bounces around a lot, but I turn a little and stop, turn alittle and stop about 5 times around and it seems to be 2-3 thou most of the time. Pretty border line for gears drives it seems, whats the experience with borderline runout on gears? So looks like I need the works from inner bearings on out including oil pump. Whats the experience with the SE chain conversion, against the Andrews conversion? Right now I'm thinking SE 204s or Andrews 26's, Plan to do mostly cruiseing, long trips, my Sporty is the hotrod. Any help or suggestions welcome.

Both hyd set ups are mostly bullet proof plus you get the upgraded oil pump. I think the more run out = more noise but you must get your back lash dialed in for noise and reliability. Here's my tensioners at 90,000 miles.
