anyway to tell
anyway to tell if a bike has cams in it, without getting in there and physically looking.
when i bought this bike dealer didnt know much about what was done to it.
i do know that it has a stage 2 download in the ECM
it seems alot quicker than my buddies 07 who has just slip ons

...all bikes have cams in them...or they won't run!...(just kidding)...it would probably be a little tricky to verify what the cam is from the outside of the bike, I don't know of any way...I was thinking one possible way would be to do a side by side comparison with a stock bike of the same year where you might lift the front push rod tubes of each, take out the spark plugs, jack them up, get them both in 5th gear, get both engines at top dead center in front cylinder...then have someone slowly turn rear wheel of each bike and take measurements of how high the lifters go...if they differ, then you know you have a cam in yours that's not stock..
Check to see if it has adjustable pushrods. That's usually a dead give away. It could have High perf cams with the stock oush rods, but alot of people use the adj. ones when changing cams.
