Default Blocking wind from upper body and chin & ears

I'm tired of getting wind slapped in the face & chin & ears from the wind that gets around the fairing and comes up between your thighs and rear of tank. If I lay my arm across my chest it totally blocks this wind and creates a pocket of calm dead air between the inner faring and my upper body. As a result i have no air slapping my ears and chin, I can hear the radio clearly and even the quite stock exhaust pipes. i enjoy the ride so much better if i could ride like this all the time,

But I can't ride with one are acrossed my chest all the time. What is a better solution to eliminate the major updraft in your face ear slap. and create this calm dead air pocket i long for.

Check around there is a site called flaps or something like that.
From what I seen its a shirt or jacket that let the pockets come up just a little to keep the wind off your face.
Don't know if its worth a poo or not.

I dont own a car but i own a FXDWG too and the wind doesnt bother me getting hit head on but i just find it more enjoyable if that part of the wind updraft was controlable on a long distance crusier.

FYI,Harley makes a wind deflector that will do exactly that, I put them on my bike and a world of difference.

Seriously that's funny! But try adding lowers. Huge difference in turbulence
With mine off. But here in az I have them off all summer. They only go back on when the weather is in the 50's.

You mean the ones that attach to the Street glise fairing?

I've been looking at the ones harley offers but i find it hard to believe they work that well

Jack's Flaps AeroVest. He's a member of the forum. Here's his website.
I tested one from him and works just like holding your arm across your chest. I didn't believe it until I tried one.

I just put the fork wind deflectors on my bike and problem solved. Harley doesn't make them to fit the SG, but these guys do: www.street-glide.com
