Not if you MOD the wiring.

I run spots all the time and a headlight modulator during the day. If the flashing headlight annoys anyone, at least they see me.

Conspicuity studies show that 3 points of light, either close together or triangle pattern, are more attention - getting than a single point of light regardless of intensity. It also helps to indicate motion as the spacing between the lights change on convergance toward a target as opposed to a single light which cannot be discernably determined with regard to speed. Best example: Modification of locomotive headlights from single light to light at the nose and 2 ditch lights -- similar to the running lights on most of the HD touring models.

This setup puts out plenty of light at night for me. Run my spots from a switch on the console.

I've got a friend that put a $500 headlight on his Street Gluide. It a mighty powerful light for sure but I don't ride at night so I had rather spend the $$$$ on blings.

I have a RG, so from the factory there are only the 2 front lights, but I have a set of lights on my engine guard, also my flashers are white/amber LED's that are white for the running lights, and alternate when I use the turn signals, so I actually have 6 lights up front, will help in most situations, but as we all mknow there are some folks out there that get distracted and wouldn't see a tank coming down the street.
