I believe some states vehicle codes say that with high beams on no auxiliary lights are allowed to also be illuminated.

Hi beam and spots during daytime. Spots are bright yellow H-3 type with upgraded bulbs and all lights are adjusted to suit me for night riding.
1 in probably 600 cars will flash me, had a few drivers complain about my bright lights and I ask them "did you see me, ?? Good that is the purpose as I need every advantage possible to be seen by drivers" . Have gone by dozens of lawmen even a notorious ***** CHP biker hater several times without issue.

I keep the high beam (LED) on along with the passing lights (LED) during the day, yes I have the plug and play loom adapter, works great. At night I generally use the low beam with the passing lamps. Works for me. I like being seen, just might be enough to make a difference.
