If I had a used key fob could I get it programmed to my bike? Could I do it myself?
When I went to get a new key for my jeep I was told once their key is paired to a vehicle, it can never be used on another jeep. Is this also true for Harley?
Yes you can program a fob to your bike, it is in the owners manual, and service manual how to do so.
Thanks for the help guys. the electrical issue was a burnt out fuse. I took her to the shop to finish the stage 1. The previous owner had just put pipes on it and that was it. I am getting the high flow AC and the stage 1 Harley download. Does that sound like a good idea?
Could the bike have been running lean with just pipes?
some guys replace the headlight bulb with yellow bulbs,so it stands out a little.just slip on mufflers should be a problem,it may be running a bit lean but not to worry as long as your not getting ping when hot, if u add high flow ac then a download or tuner should be used, do some research b4 laying down cash on a download or tuner.
Wow, a little over 15K miles on an 03 Ultra is a good find. My 03 Ultra has close to 95K mile on it. The head light is easy to change and not to expensive. I had to replace mine when a rock (small boulder) broke it when I was going to Kansas.
Can you post a picture of the entire bike, side view and an angled view from the front? That would be cool. I suspect your really going to enjoy that bike.
The headlight on the 2003 sucks anyway, I would just replace it.
I love the headlight on my 03. It is a Bosch. Is that the stock light? I bought the bike used last year so it could be aftermarket, but I think it is stock.
Beautiful bike, I'm sure you will enjoy. Sounds like it got a good home. Your HD dealer can take the serial number and order you another key for the ignition and it will also fit your bags. Any HD key will fit the gas tank lid.
