Yeah, I've noticed that those who have had problems with the CFRs causing the bike to stutter in the low end all seem to have cams or other motorwork. Yet on a stock bike the work great. Not really a motorhead here so I don't know why that is. Did you sell the CFRs? I'm gonna stay stock. The bike's got enough power for me. I'd just like to have a bike that sounds like a Harley. All that money and it sounds like a Honda. Damn EPA.
Got my map 2 years ago. It was not a custom map specific to the CFR, it was a custom map for 96", true duals, stage1 AC and 4" mufflers and I had just to add +15 in the fuel cells between 1750 and 2750rpm to eliminate a little bit of popping I had at decel.
I can email it to you if you want
to look at it.
Thanks. But I doubt it'll be the same on a 103". Good to hear you could tweak it a bit and get the decell pops out. I ordered some today. Haven't heard a bike in my neck of the woods that had them but from what I've heard everybody say they're exactly what I'm looking for (deep, deep, deep) and I won't be dissapointed. I called and talked to Cary today and he assuaged my concerns about the problems folks have had with them. He's a heckuva guy. They really know how to treat their customers. Should run great on a stock setup. Gonna put on the V&H HOs that I got a good deal on first just to see how they compare but I'll probably have those up for sale or trade as soon as I get the CFRs on.
Have the dresser duals on my 10 limited. Had Rush 1.75 on them and they sounded pretty good and I thought it ran well. I put the SE 254E cam in and man the butt dyno felt real good. Talked to a guy in Nashville about doing a tune and told him my set up. He suggested I put Something in the way of Vance and Hines because they make up for some of the Lost back pressure with the duals. Now have the Monster Ovals. Love the sound and the butt dyno is real happy. Can't wait to put it on the machine to tweak it.

I love the look of the the MOs but I've heard they're not any louder than stock. I don't really want to go too loud unless the sound is just right. Do you think it's the headers that make the difference?

With the duals the Monster Ovals are deffinately louder than stock. Not as loud as the rush but they are brand new. Haven't got that many mile on them. Good deep tone. Not sure how they will sound after a few thousand miles but haven't read a bad review on the forum yet. Still love the stereo sound.
Got my CFRs on. WOW! Nice deep sound although through acceleration. Not incredibly loud but my hearing sucks, too. Really growls when you crack it. Very mellow at highway speed; don't even know they're there. Sound's awesome. Can't wait to get my headers on and let them come to life. Finish is incredible. Glad I got 'em.
