Default Before ordering my rear wheel, need some help

Hello,

i'm going to order my rear wheel because i can't stay more with this unmatching one so i've got one question for those who have done it :

18x3,5 or 18x4,25? how to choose?

I know that i'll have to put a 150 (Avon like the front) with my pulley but the width of the wheel will affect the tyre width, no?

Thanks for help

i went with a 4.25" an im glad i did.
the extra width in the rear adds to the look as well as gives the correct profile to the tire when running a 150/70/18

width of the wheel will affect tire width... but if you look on any manufacturer web site it will show the minimum, recommended, and maximum rim width for each tire.

the avon 150/70/18 recommended rim width it 4.25" so youd be perfect with what you are wanting to do.

i am running the avon venom 150/70/18 on the back of my SG

According to Avon's website, they say a 4.25" rim is right for their 150/70 tyre.

just make sure you get the 76 load rating in the avon venom if thats what you are buying. cause they also make a 70 load rating.. i dont even think they have the 76 rated tire on there website, i had to call them to get the correct part number for the tire, then double checked with my local tire dealer, they actually had one in stock

I would also encourage the 4.25". Looks great and will get the max contact patch out of the tire.

Thanks all for answer especially for load rating, sometimes i ride 2up and TP full.

Hoblick, Biggzed, you have '07 models, i have an '04 one. If i remember, you have a less width pulley, no?

Hoblick, if you can show me pics with this 4,25 rear wheel that will be great
