i went with a 4.25" an im glad i did.
the extra width in the rear adds to the look as well as gives the correct profile to the tire when running a 150/70/18
width of the wheel will affect tire width... but if you look on any manufacturer web site it will show the minimum, recommended, and maximum rim width for each tire.
the avon 150/70/18 recommended rim width it 4.25" so youd be perfect with what you are wanting to do.
i am running the avon venom 150/70/18 on the back of my SG
just make sure you get the 76 load rating in the avon venom if thats what you are buying. cause they also make a 70 load rating.. i dont even think they have the 76 rated tire on there website, i had to call them to get the correct part number for the tire, then double checked with my local tire dealer, they actually had one in stock
