RE: Any definitive info re K&N and S.E. air filters?
Ahhhh, not having to oil is what caught my eye but I never considered it could get dirty and "wear out". Excellent Point! Also I'm guessing on a stage 1 set up it just doesn't matter that much which one "flows" more....I'll go with K&N as I don't care for the open look of the Bigsucker....jmho

Cycle Spot (http://*******.com/t8doe) has the BS for $93, but not sure how much they want for shipping. Also, check Ebay, as I see a number available for <$100. Jamie at Fuel Moto told me there was no significant performance difference between the K&N, BS1, and BS2. The BS2 flows 20% more air (Ness claim) and requires a round filter cover.
I ordered the K&N simply because I also ordered mufflers and PCIII from Fuel Moto and it was a simpler solution. Otherwise, I would've bought the BS1 from Cycle Spot.

Bounty is right. There is no definite flow advantages between paper and cotton. However the paper will be lucky to go 5000 miles before replacement. Cotton can be cleaned and re-used.
