HCC 12" ape install help

Hey everyone. After spilling gas all over my garage I have stripped the bike down to where it needs to be. Or so I thought. Do I have to take the inner fairing off to get to the handle bar clamp? I can access two of the bolts but cant get to the others. Any tips would be great. Thanks in advance.

I did not remove the inner fairing. I took out the radio and I cut down one of my allen wrenches until it fit.

Hello,
You can get to the 2 bolts with out taking the inner fairing off like above said, you can cut down a wrench so it will clear the fairing. It depends on the tools you have avaiable. You can use a torx bit and a wrench. Just take your time. Once you get it broken loose, use a ball end Allen wrench, it works like a swivel.

You don't have to remove it. But you may have to loosen it.

I have installed two of HCC bars. Have not remove or loosened the inner fairing yet. Just remove the radio as said above. The plastic piece that runs under the radio will flex enough to remove the bolts . Besure to tie the bars up or lay a blanket across the tank to prevent the bars from falling down and missing up paint.
