Not to get off topic...But, Does the Klockwerks windshield eliminate the helmet buffeting that you get from the stock screen? By the way, you ride looks great.

If you will feel around in front of you while riding you'll find that 90% of the air causing helmet buffet comes from UNDER the faring. Now back to the subject....
Cyclesmith 13s here. Solved the shoulder burn and the need for a backrest unless i'm going 200mi or more. Then i put it on.
I'm hoping my ready to install KW +2's will do the trick. I'm 6'3" with fairly long arms. In theory they should be great...... in theory I'm also looking at some different mirrors and I bet I won't need long stems with the +2's ??
Just swap sides with your stock mirrors and flip them upside down. Works great for me but i'm only 6'. Your extra 3'' might make a difference. Worth a try.....ITS A FREE MOD!
Did y'all install the stiffer isolator bushings under the bars when installing the higher bars? Was wondering if the stiffer bushings would transfer noticeably more vibration to the grips?

Dont know if I need them or not but I bought new poly bushings for the install. They were less than $10....
6' 1" , stock bars fit me awesome. Asking what handlebars fit other people to make your handlebar choice is like asking other people to try on pants for you to buy, ain't gonna work!
Coming from a RKC with 14" Wild 1 Apes, the stock bars on my FLHX were a rude awakening. I'm 6' with long arms but still feel like I am riding a sport bike. Compiling parts now to go with the 12.5" Wild 1 bars. Still might go 14" but looks like 12.5.
6' 200 lb long arms and legs and I love my 577 Wild1s (12.5). Rode to work last week at 26 degrees and still have all my fingers, so the bars above the fairing aren't that big a deal.
Did you count your fingers or does it just feel like they are still there?

The stock bushings are good for 10" bars but anything over that you should replace them with the poly bushings.

Yes the 8.5 inch Klockwerks windshield is a great improvement from the 4 inch stock. I also had the 6.5 inch Klockwerks windshield but went back to the 8.5 inch windshied. Im 6'0" and can see over the 8.5 inch windshield fine.
