Ok, my dad just picked up a set of 36" Santee Fish tip pipes bran new for a good deal off Craigslist. Here is my ??? There is no mounting bracket tabs on the pipes. They are smooth from end to end. The guy who sold them to him even had a picture of his RK with them on. Did he dupe my dad? Is there a bracket you can buy to go with them? You don't just leave them attached to the head pipe do you? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure it out. Thanks for your help!! Bryan
I hade a set of Santee's 225 on my FXR. I didn't really care for them that much. The fit wasn't all that good and the brackets they came with broke. I ended up making my own.
Thanks for the link but CC website sucks!! I saw the brackets but that is all you can do is look at them. No info, no price. Probably will fab something up ourselves. Bryan
You need to knwo the OD (outer diameter) of the pipes and get some clamps that are the same OD. It has been my experience taht it is much easier to mount pipes that come with the mounting brackets welded on but I made my own clamps on one set I had. They were fine for about 6 months, the one of the clamps broke. At that point I bought the pipes with the brackets on the pipes and have not ahd an issue since.

Thanks for the info. We just mounted them to see what they look like and have a few ideas for mounts. Here in IN our ride time is pretty much gone so it gives us all winter to fab something up. The ID is 1 3/4" so OD isn't much bigger. You guys don't have anything that would work do you?? Bryan
