I have another trailering question. Do you disconect the battery while the bike is being trailered to stop the lights from flashing when the trailer bounces down the road, I dont want to arrive and find a dead battery(36hrs) of driving. Thanks

that's a great questions. I never thought about that. I've trailered my bike twice in an inclosed trailer and I bet the lights were flashing like crazy the whole time. Twelve hour drive each time, battery wasn't dead.

Dead or not that is hard on a $170 battery. Like everyone else here said. Read your owners manual it tells you exactly how to dissarm your alarm for trailering. I keep a copy of all the reset proceedures on the bike less the passwords and still practice the no/dead fob procedure. If you don't have a manual you can go to the HD web and set up a profile and read it or buy it.
I have trailered to daytona a few times now and all we do for our bikes is leave fob in bike when we park we pull fobs you can also look up in your manual how to put the alarm in transport mode
