Glad you made it through to ride another day. Looking how the car hit you, I have run through that scenario in my mind numerous times as I am sitting at a light as to what my reaction would be. Glad your instincts were correct.
Glad you are ok. My bike looked similar to that after an accident...only a year old. It was totaled. Make sure the ins reimburses you for your extras like those lights...or swap them back out with OEMs.

Glad you are here to post about it. Sucks about your injuries. It looks a little like my bike a few years back. I too had a shattered wrist and knee injury. I now have a titanium plate with twelve screws holding it all together. I can use it 100% though. Just last night I discovered my right knee cap is fractured from my bike wreck over two years ago. It was my left knee that was injured in the wreck. Oh well heal up fast.
