Wiring lights for tour pack
I work with electronics so it was easy for me.
I think harley sells "Y" adapters that just plug in if you want to do that, you'll need a couple or 3 of those
I replaced the factory wiring harness with a flat 4 trailer plug, spliced in under the seat, the flat 4 wiring, then goes down under the side cover and along the frame rail.
( ground, run, brake ...and the 4th is wired to the accessory)
loop velcro is stuck onto the shock, hook velcro is a wrapped around the plug, which has a cover and test leds built in.
the other end is wired inside the tour pack the ground run and brake wired into all the right stuff with crimp connectors, and the 4th accessory in run to interior led lighting for the tour pak ( adapted ikea under cabinet lighting-- no more flashlight in the mouth, digging around) and to "lighter" and usb outlets for charging my phone/ipod/cameras and other junk going down the road
I have apiece of loop velcro stuck to the inside of the tourpak rack, and when the plugs are connected, I just stick them there
It's not hard, just lay in out and think if you might want to add anything--- like the tour pak lid organizer--- do that before you do the wiring for the airwing.
I think the stock color coding is blk- ground, blue- run, red -brake
use crimp connections if you do your own.
soldered connections do not hold up well on bikes ( no matter what you see on american chopper!)
