I picked up 4 sets of used stock cams with lifters gears, chains from ebay ....one of the sets of cams are se-255 (which is what I wanted for my bike)....score $40 ($54 with shipping)....
no way would I install used internal parts on my bike- but that's me.
Mike
once you put them in the bike aren't they used???...I mean they are only new until you install them, so what diff. does it make???..I can understand something like rings , but cams run on frictionless bearing on all moving areas....or should i just say thank you for helping to keep the price of pre-tested parts down, keep up the good work the economy needs more like you....

Ditto, unless there is obvious damage to the cams running surfaces your bike is not going to know the difference.

Member, an ounce of prevention is worth a POUND of cure..
as long as there was no damage to them, no problem at all, camshafts are very hard, and unless there is some sort of abnormal wear, run 'em if those are what you want, no harm, no foul. good score on that set
