I bought my bike about a week ago. It is pretty much stock. I enjoy reading all the subjects that might help me. Iam not sure what accessories I want to add.
What are good after market pipes? Stock is a bit quiet but I don't want a real loud noise either. Something that sounds like a harley should.
I have a set of lowers I bought also but the top portion has a lip that forces air up over the tank that is very cold here when riding. ANY fixes for this? What lower wind deflectors can I put? Would that help OR maybe removing the lowers and installing the crash bar softies with a set of deflectors?
Sorry, I have lots of questions, being a new harley owner. I have ridden since I was in 7th grade and got back into it in the eighties. I have an 85 Goldwing LTD so I am used to the baggers.
Thanks for the read and any hlepful suggestions. Pics to be posted soon. Sunglow blue. J & M CB, Nuvi GPS (MP3, bluetooth phone)
The stock hard lowers are as good as it gets. The soft lowers are ok but not like the orginials. Soft lowers catch too much air and the turbulence will whip you around a bit. If you dont have them add some air deflectors to the bottom of your batwing. That will be a big help. You are now in the HD family, its a bike, its not a wing, its gonna be windy! Enjoy the ride and welcome to the family.
