Josh, you have one of the sweetest Glide's on the forums. Dont disappoint yourself or go backwards by choosing a cam without doing some serious reading up on them. You dont want to make the bike less fun to enjoy by putting in cams with a lot of duration just because they sound good at idle unless you're willing to bump compression also or it will suck trying to ride it.
Ok, well time is running out for me so I ordered a set of the SE-255, got a great deal on them. I figure that they will make up the low end that I need since ill be using true duals and cfr mufflers.
I do need some more help now though.
Can someone get me part numbers for the Harley Perfect Fit Pushrods, as well as a gasket kit? I am going to be removing the rocker boxes to do this since im changing them to black at the same time.
It never hurts to follow the herd. No disrespect meant.
Yeah, you know what they say, the truth is in the nummbers. Im not looking to win any races or carry around a dyno sheet that has the biggest numbers. Just want a little more power on tap when needed/wanted. 255 seems to be such a common choice, must be good reason behind it.
I voted 259e as it's legs are a little bit longer than the 255's, and spreads the torque curve just a little bit further to the right.
Not much difference but....
I just bought a Samsung Memory Cam yesterday that retails for $147.00 & got it with a 50% discount! Now I'm looking for a good camera mount for the cage & bike....
As you can see from my signature, I run a TR 590G cam. I am very happy with this selection and TR Performance has numerous other cams available. Like other people have said, call someone, and TR would be one of them, to find out what they have to say.
