Default who's good ?

I need to mill some off my heads to get a better squish.

Can you mill the heads or is it usually cutting the jugs ?

and , who's good ?

Not sure where you live, but Sam at www.samsperformancespecialties.com is pretty much spot on when it comes to doing headwork. He rolls on a 130+ HP FL himself.

Mill to reduce combustion chamber volume and raise compression, use a thinner gasket for a tighter "squish" band.

+1.

Best way to optimize squish is to ensure your piston are at zero deck height. Trimming the cylinders is the method to do this, then use a head gasket with a thickness equal to the desired squish.

Milling the heads can be cool, BUT is not reversable.
it may affect other issues, you may not be able to use stock pushrods, intake manifold seal may be affected.

Better to select piston characteristics to give desired compression ratio.

My 88 FXRP has factory milled heads ( .060") which has sometimes a problem.
