why? seriously, are you doing this for looks, just because or is there a reason not yet mentioned. usually mods have an underlying reason. your bike do it your way, just want to know purpose.
Yes I am doing this for looks. I am going with a 13" rotor and a 6 piston caliper. I know there is plenty of debates about this subject but I only posted the question because I wanted some feedback about the feel of the lever.
I ran a single disc set up on my 07 SG with the stock 11/16 bore mater cylinder and all though the lever was hard/tight it stopped fine... when I got the 2010 SG I again went with a single sided brake and switched to a 9/16 bore from a 2010 Delux and the lever feels like it should. By the way... both bike had the stock caliper and rotor... never have had one problem stopping! It is your bike... make it the way you want it! Cheers!
Thanks for your feedback, I plan on purchasing the master cylinder off the Deluxe also. One question for you, does the master cylinder off the Deluxe fit nice with the stock switch housing? Is it possible to post a picture of your set up?
not sure about a single stock dia front rotor but with a single 13" rotor/6 piston pm caliper setup i could lock up the front tire - so the braking power is there...
now if i was to ride this bike hard around twisties and be hard on the brakes then id say yes duals are needed.. brake fade

Reason: Correction
Thanks, im using stock master with performance machine 6 piston caliper w/ single 13" rotor.
Sorry to bug you but what is your reason for not going with the 9/16" master cylinder? Did you just get use to the different lever feel? I don't want to buy the different master cylinder if I don't need to.
