Ok, I could not just let things alone so I started replacing my fork springs with the Progressive mono tubes on my 09 RKC. Well things were going good until I came to removing the 6mm bolt at the bottom of the housing. When it broke loose it actually felt like it did snap but if I tighten it back up and it felt tight and ok. My problem is I cannot extract the bolt out, it seems to just spin and I cannot get the damper tube out. If anyone can help that may have had this happen it would be appreciated, thanks.
Fabrik8r, awesome , worked like a charm, thanks. The damper tube and the lower spring is all out but I can still hear a rattle inside, is that the bottoming cup? It does not seem to wanna come out.
Sounds like the bottoming cup. Mine was stuck in the bottom too. Kinda vacuumed itself to the inside of the fork tube. I had to blow some air in the hole where 6mm bolt was and it came right out.
