Default Road Glide Upgrades

Ok guys, looking for some help....I have the shark nose on my '07 RG completely removed for paint and radio replacement and want to add all the bells and whistles I can before I put her back together. Upgrades include better tunes, lighting, and getting rid of that awefull looking headlight lens. I've spent the last few days surfing this site trying to get some ideas and here is what I came up with:

Tunes: I thought about sending the HD OEM in for repair but I'm thinking about the Sony CDX-M60 Marine Sterio instead with some sort of HOGTUNES Amp and 5x7 speakers. The only drawback I see is the faceplate color. I really like the look of the factory HK radio but don't want to have to replace it again in a couple of years (not my first issue with the HD OEM radio).

Lighting: Very confusing. I'm looking for a simple plug and play that won't cost me an arm and leg. The Hella E-Code headlights seem to be popular but I'm not sure what that includes (Is that just the bulb or the lens or both?) or what it takes to install.

Also wanted to change the color of my gage lights and found it to be as simple as swapping out the small colored bulb covers with the color red. The only problem is, the Tach and Speedo are factory sealed with no means of replacing the lights. WT?...Is there a company out there that sells those two gages with light choices at a reasonable price?

Headlight Bezel: The best option appears to be the '09 SE Bezel pn 69987-09 for $40. One thread mentioned the '10 stock Bezel pn 73250-10 for only $10 but it doesn't fit as snug as the '09 SE Bezel. There was also mention of having to adjust the lights back to accomodate the Bezel. Another disturbing thought/question: it appears I can only adjust the headlights with the outer fairing removed (are you kidding me?). Am I missing something?

Anyway, looking for any feedback/suggestions....

I don't know if this is the year as I ride a 2010 road glide, but I have seen some post about a weak link in the faring on some road glides. I put an oil temp gauge in while it was being painted. Don't know if this was important, but it did give me something to look at. If money is limited, spend the bulk on stereo upgrades.

I like the oil temp gauge idea...did you replace the air temp gage with it?

You adjust the headlights on the back of the inner fairing. Look for two small holes (one on each side) near the bottom of the inner fairing, just below the mounting bracket. Takes a 4.5mm deep well socket. Try a 3/16in deep well if you can't locate the 4.5.

Yep, I got rid of the air temp and put in an oil temp. I guess this is the plan that harley has to sell oil temp gauges.
